All-You-Can-Eat Vegan Buffets Around the World

– 7 restaurants in 6 countries where you can fill your plate with vegan dishes.

As vegans, it’s a celebration to find entirely vegan restaurants. But entirely vegan buffets? That’s a tricky one!  The truth is: it just takes a little searching – and occasionally traveling – to find one.

From east to west around the world, here are some of our favourite vegan buffets.

The Poya Day Vegan Buffet – Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka

If you were to plan your Sri Lanka trip around this buffet, you wouldn’t be the first! Located near the pool and beach,  it features both a salad and dessert bar all its own. Considering it’s open only once a month (on Poya Day, a public holiday correlating with the full moon), you’ll definitely want to add this to your must-visit list.

SuTao Cafe – Malvern, PA, U.S.A.

The Chinese buffet at SuTao Cafe is available for lunch, dinner, and a buffet-to-go. Cold and hot items, soups, and desserts are offered – including home-made vegan sushi. All of their veggie meat and seafood dishes are made with soy protein, seitan, or konjac. With plenty of these faux meats, you’re sure to keep your omnivorous friends fooled – I mean, *ahem* full.

Chaedam Vegan Buffet – Daejeon, South Korea

All-you-can-eat vegan… with a stunning lake view? Yes, please! From kimchi to vegan “pork” cutlets, there are over twenty dishes available, all very worth tasting. I takes a lengthier trip from the city to get here; but once you arrive, it’s well worth the journey.

Vegan Buffet – Hamilton, New Zealand

Reviews rave about the quality of food offered in relation to the price. With a seemingly endless parade of vegan specialties moving steadily out of the kitchen, you’ll see items such as cauliflower curry and blueberry cheesecake flying off the buffet counter. If you need me, I’ll be on the next flight to New Zealand!

The Vegan Buffet Company – Rugby,  England

This is not your typical buffet, as it’s not in person, but rather,  comes to you! This catering company will create offerings for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, private functions, and more. You can choose from a set menu or a range of cold platters – with all items freshly prepared in a kitchen that’s 100% vegan, by vegan staff. Talk about dedication.

Radha Govinda’s Buffet – Denver, CO, U.S.A.

A 100% vegan buffet with a rotating menu theme, daily, that offers a warm Colorado welcome. You’ll be greeted with excellent service and a peaceful ambiance. People rave about the homemade dressings, vegan bread and butter, and desserts.

Wonderland Healing Center Vegan Buffet – Phangan, Thailand

Last but not least, this good vibe buffet is aptly named Wonderland. With dishes from around the world, it offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus snacks throughout the day. Rumor has it that you’ll need to know someone who is staying at the retreat in order to partake, but once you’re in, it’s worth every “baht”.

With a little searching (and perhaps a passport), you could possibly stumble upon a vegan buffet near you! From this list, which would you try first?
