When we were in Lisbon in 2015 we had dinner at Terra Restaurante Natural for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. Great food, kind people and lots of positive reviews and clippings on the wall. Even from Moby (long time vegan).
So when planning our trip this year we knew we wanted to come back here.
Terra (meaning Earth in Portuguese) is a vegetarian (and mostly vegan) restaurant, considered by many to be the best vegetarian restaurant in Lisbon. And I agree, it is one of the best in town. The buffet is completely vegetarian and they are happy to tell what all the vegan options are (and there are lots of them–salads, pasta, fruit, all kind of vegetables prepared in lots of different ways. I love the asparagus and the pasta!)
At Terra you will find all the rich flavors of the Mediterranean cuisine – and a few surprises are thrown in just for fun. Don’t forget to enjoy their organic, vegan and kosher wines and delectable vegan desserts! We had a wonderful sweet apple crumble.
Terra is situated in one of the oldest areas of Lisbon, and only minutes away from the lively night life of Bairro Alto.
Traditional Portuguese furniture, hand-painted tiles and, weather permitting, the shadow of century-old trees and the sound of the water in the old fountain will accompany your meal: you will not regret going to Terra for lunch and/or dinner!
Whenever we go back to Lisbon we will be back for sure to have yet another wonderful dinner at Terra!
