This sweet spot of vegetarian eatery serves authentically traditional Taiwanese food that is tasty, fulfilling, and flavorful!
It’s a rare pop and mom shop run by husband and wife. These are very friendly people who love what they do. It shows in their food, because the food is just so good. The best part is the price — it’s very inexpensive and affordable!
For just $7 bucks you can have all you can eat! To save some more money, you can get a bento box to go for $6.
The place is decidedly small with very limited seats. It really gets jam packed as people start flocking in for a tasty lunch. Even at the opening hour (11 am), the owners are busy preparing and packing orders of the popular bento boxes.
This is not your typical restaurants that offer limitless menu choices. Sweet Veggie humbly serves around 6 quality dishes at a time, and these are just as good as home cooking gets. But, the chef is always cooking and rolling out fresh new dishes because they don’t last long for the many people jammed inside. Mostly vegan food is served, but one or two dishes use eggs. Ask the friendly owners and they can recommend what is vegan and what not.
Without gimmicks, Sweet Veggie serves you down-to-earth, wholesome satisfying meals.
Be sure to check out their frozen dumplings, which you could purchase and easily cook at home. At 50 pieces for $16, they are perfect for a convenient, economic and nice quick meal at home.
