Miss Saigon – Lisbon

lisbon-1

When we went to Lisbon two years ago we did not know what to expect. Of course we did our ‘homework’ and copied a list from the HappyCow site with all kinds of vegan options.

Miss Saigon was one of them. It took us a while before we found the place but it was worth searching for!

Miss Saigon is a squeaky clean white minimalistic restaurant that serves multicultural dishes. They are 100% vegan.

Spices and fresh aromatic herbs play a big role in Miss Saigon cuisine. They also have a wide selection of vegan desserts and cakes.

They are only open for lunch Monday – Friday, from 12 – 4pm. The fun part is that they serve different dishes every day. You can visit their website and see what is on the menu for that day and the upcoming week. So if you are in Lisbon for a few days you can try different lunch menu’s or you can choose upfront what kind of food your in for and decide what day you are going to have lunch there.

We enjoyed a great combination-platter. I am not fond of (and that’s putting it lightly) vegan ‘meat or sausages’ that taste like meat or have a smokey bacon flavor. So I skipped the sausages but everything else was of very high quality and of great taste!

We are planning to go back to Lisbon this year and when we do, we will definitely go back to Miss Saigon!
