In this article, we offer resources for a range of social activities you can explore to meet other vegans nearby. Animal care might be your passion, or maybe activism is more your thing! As you’ll see, there are lots of ways to meet new vegans near you, in your town or wherever you travel. Take your pick from TeamCow’s tips below.
1. Create or join vegan groups on Meetup
Meetup is a great platform designed specifically to connect people who share similar passions! Search for a vegan-related meetup in your locality. If you don’t see any listed, consider starting your own and others are sure to join in!
2. Join your local online vegan groups
Just search for your local vegan groups, be it on Facebook, Reddit, or other online platforms. Most big cities/countries have Facebook groups for vegans and vegetarians. For example, some of the active ones we know of are London Vegans, VoNY – Vegans of New York, India Vegan Revolution, Barcelona Vegan, and Vegans In Australia.
3. Volunteer!
If you love animals, why not spend your free time volunteering at your local dog shelter or an animal charity? Or, if working with food is more your thing, explore volunteering opportunities at vegan cafes near you. Surely you’ll meet other like-minded people there.
4. Explore dating apps
These apps provide a space for veg*ns to connect:
– VeggieConnection: Proud Winner of VegNews Magazine’s award “Top site to find a veggie mate”.
– Green Singles: Community of progressive singles in the veg*n community.
– FindVegLove: Speed Dating Events for Vegans and Vegetarians.
– TofuTogether: TofuTogether is a vegan and vegetarian mobile dating app.
– VeggieDate: Vegetarian singles, vegan and raw food personal ads.
