Help us share frozen vegan Bliss @Burning Man
Every year 60,000+ people gather at the Burning Man music festival (www.burningman.com) outside Reno, Nevada to share and build a community around gifting and connecting. For the past 2 years at Burning Man, our camp shared a passion to honor the planet, the animals, and the environment by gifting away 7,000+ yummy vegan ice cream cones- just because we want to share and inspire awesome tasting vegan food!
This is all made possible by the collaborative efforts of Coconut Bliss, Pink Heart (Christian Hellmers, John Halcyon, amongst many others in our camp!), Edwards & Sons (“Let’s Do Organic” cones), Transition Nutrition’s “Bliss Mix” (cashews, goji berries, mulberries, etc), and Action Taken Inc. (thefirst10minutes.com) donating time, energy, and free vegan food!
This year we are asking for a small donation due to our funding limitations so please help us raise an additional $400 to cover the cost of all the cones! We have raised over $1500 to date as you will see in the video below.

This year at the 7 day Burning Man festival, our 80 person camp members known as “Pink Heart” plans to give away over 4,000 vegan Coconut Bliss ice cream cones (made from coconut milk) along with toppings and cones to inspire people to taste animal friendly bliss on a hot desert day….and for nothing in return! The idea was started out of a mission by Christian Hellmers to make vegan activism fun and relevant without the intellectual debate. We hand out a variety of vegan recipes books as well for all of those who wish to consider preparing vegan awesome on their own time, away from the desert!
This year we would like to invite the entire HappyCow community to help us create some fun things to give away in support of this mission. If you have anything you would like us to give away any pieces of your vegan art, during the daily cone ceremony, please email Christian Hellmers at christian@thefirst10minutes.com for the address or just send us your inspiring ideas to add to the vision!
Better yet, help us co-create them and join us at 9:30 and Esplanade this year at Burning Man!
Due to limiting funding, we don’t have the capacity to spend any more funds on trinkets ourselves, but we would love a donation if you can help support us securing more cones or perhaps you could ask your friends to send us cool positively charged vegan stickers, or water tattoos, or t-shirts, or high vibration pieces of art. We will happily give them away to honor your gifting! The only thing we ask is that it’s positive and relevant to the authentic artistic expression practiced at Burning Man! The theme this year is Right of Passage so try to play off of that!

April 29, 2013 at 12:27 pmThis is GREAT! Will you guys be around this year? I’ve recently chose to go vegan, always ate little meat and am so pro-animals but now it’s definitive all way!
