My Exotic Tropical Organic Green Smoothies are the easiest health solution yet! You can bond with friends and family while blending, and you never know what wonderful health improvements you can expect from adding organic greens to your life!

Directions:

1.) Add to a blender the following (high powered blender is best because you really need high power to liquefy the greens):

  • 1 cup organic liquid (organic unpasteurized fruit juice, organic almond milk, organic coconut water—from a real young coconut is tops—water, etc.)
  • 1 handful organic spinach or organic romaine lettuce (get crazy with organic kale later if you want and be certain to de-stem it first)

2.) Blend the liquid and the greens together in high speed blender until really smooth.

3.) Then add the following:

  • 1 organic frozen banana
  • 1 organic medjool date (remove pit)
  • 1/2 cup other organic fruit of choice (let’s say organic berries or organic blueberries)

4.) Pulse with scoop of ice if desired. Enjoy!

OPTIONAL: You can add 1-2 tablespoons of raw organic fat—let’s say raw organic almond butter (I would omit this if you’re trying to lose weight)

OPTIONAL: Add another 1/2 cup of organic fruit

OPTIONAL: Add a scoop of organic vegan protein

IDEA:  Kale & Avocado. Use coconut water, kale, banana, date and avocado (1/4)

IDEA:  Basil & Pear. Interesting option is to add a couple leaves of organic basil to the greens when you spin the greens. Then make the banana and date base smoothie, and add 1/2 cup of organic pear as your fruit option. Yummo!

I’m crazy for an ice cream-thick smoothie, and I get there by using all frozen fruit. It requires stopping and scraping the blender, so it’s not an easy blend, but it’s worth it…I can even eat my smoothie from a bowl!
