Part 2 of Interview Series: Heather from Sweet Freedom Bakery

Last week we interviewed Heather of Sweet Freedom Bakery in Philadelphia as part of our Restaurateur Interview Series. Today we give you Part 2 of the interview in video form! Let us know if you’d like to see more video interviews and restaurant reviews on HappyCow!

It was a pleasure to meet Heather and to try many of the vegan goodies they carry. I tried 2 cupcakes (Samoa & Banana Chocolate Chip) which were both great. Often times gluten-free desserts can be dry and grainy but these were not. The Samoa cupcake was probably one of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. The cinnamon bun was also a big hit. I couldn’t resist going back the next day for more and tried the Mint Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich. Mint and chocolate are a match made in Heaven in my book so I was a big fan of this dessert. The cupcake of the day was Lemon with a blueberry filling so I couldn’t turn that down! It was delish!

Thanks to Heather and Sweet Freedom! Be sure to stop by if you are ever in the Philly area and if you need allergy-free baked goods visit their website to order online.

I can’t get enough of the Restauranter Interview Series. I like when you ask them about the nuts and bolts of running their business and advice they’d give to others just starting out.
