On an Instagram post we asked you guys to share your personal favourite vegan sushi restaurants around the world, and it certainly resulted in a VERY colourful list!
The growth of veganism is fueling innovation in the culinary world like never before, and sushi is especially one of those dishes chefs can get ultra creative with! From smoked red pepper “salmon” to watermelon “tuna”, the ingredient options are endless when it comes to making vegan fish.

“Best Vegan Sushi! Staff are super nice, sushi is an explosion of flavour, and the place is great, really the best vegan sushi I have tried!”
2. Tane Vegan Izakaya

A modern vegan izakaya that serves sushi rolls, nigiri, and small plates of greens and tofu.
“GO HERE!!! Food was REALLY good. Felt really special having a more “up scale” dining experience but fully vegan. Definitely come after you’ve showered if you’re vacationing and outdoors all day😉Our server was so nice; we couldn’t decide which nigiri we wanted so we had the chef pick. Can’t go wrong with anything. Eggplant nigiri was a favorite.”

“Excellent vegan sushi! Very excited we tried this restaurant. Based on the reviews, we tried the shrimp pop, Philly tempura roll, Volcano roll, Alaska roll, and avocado and cucumber roll. All on soy paper and with eel sauce. DELICIOUS.”

“Awesome sushi spot! Honestly I was never too much of a sushi fan but this restaurant changed it. Vegan sushi on the next level, of course it’s freshly made and full of flavour. The owners are just too sweet as they really love what they do.”

“Vegan Sushi! Considering sushi is my favorite food, I am pretty picky. I have had my fair share of vegan sushi, but I have to say I was beyond impressed. My boyfriend and I ordered five rolls (The 1985, Wasabi, Crunchy, Ritz, and Kona), and while all the rolls were tasty, the Ritz instantly became one of my all-time favorite rolls. How can you beat shrimp tempura roll topped with smoked salmon, spicy mayo, and lemon? Answer: you cannot; it is somehow even better than it sounds and looks. I also appreciated how creative each roll was and the freshness of the ingredients.”

One of the top rated vegan sushi restaurants best known for their plant-based menu of globally inspired dishes. Beyond Sushi has five locations across Manhattan, offering a full-service dining experience along with takeout and delivery.
“Wow!!!!! If you miss sushi with fish you have to go to this place! My boyfriend loves spicy tuna – that was his go to sushi but never had one since becoming vegan. We ordered their spicy tuna and it was so good he said it tasted even better than real tuna!!! Plus the prices are good for the city.”
