Moderate -- Vegan, Japanese -- Additional Info: A 300 years old traditional Japanese home in the mountains of Kawanehon-cho, a 5-minute car ride from Senzu station. The commute can take anywhere between 1 to 2 hours and train times are infrequent, so be sure to plan accordingly. Using a car is recommended. For overnight stays, a minimum of 2 people is required and maxes out at 7. There is no shower in the house but there is an onsen 5 minutes away by car. Lunch is all vegan and by reservation only, but café visits during open hours are welcome. Take-out boxes area available. Reservations required.
