One of the best in Tokyo!

A relatively broad selection of very tasty & generously portioned options. They also have a wide selection of wine & beer but not all are vegan (perhaps the only flaw with this place). Just a couple of minutes' walk from Shin-Koenji station on the Marunouchi subway line (about 9min from Shinjuku).

Pros: Excellent food, Generous portions, Friendly service

Cons: Not all wine/beer vegan

Vegan anarchy place with cool atmosphere

I live nearby so this is a place I go to a lot, the staff is always super friendly and you have a chance to buy different vegan products in their shop, like bouillon, instant ramen etc.

The place has an politically anarchy atmosphere with posters for different political stuff and bands etc. Very cool for being Japan imo.

I enjoy their soy meat a lot and the falafel plate is good with a lot of different stuff like soup, bread and Guacamole, however, I find their falafel a bit dry, but that just my taste. They have an amazing range of beers to select from but also wine, cider and non-alocoholic beverages etc.

The palce is really close to the Shin koenji metro and is a recommended visit!

Pros: Friendly staff, Nice atmosphere, Huge selection of beverages

Cozy place, yummy food

It's a lovely place, very cozy, the atmosphere is nice. Portions are generous, the prices can't be beaten. They also give a tiny complimentary cake. It is really small, but it is super nice.

The food is very good, fresh and tasty. The chef really knows how to cook good food. :p

I'd say, it's the best vegan place in Japan and one of the best vegan places I have ever been to.

A must for a vegan in Tokyo.

Pros: Yummy food, Nice atmosphere, Very good prices, large portions

Cons: They also sell packaged food but there's, palm oil in soaps and powdered curries

Easily one if the best vegan restaurants in Japan. Great food and atmosphere at a very reasonable price. I usually don't write reviews for restaurants, but signed up just so I could write this.

BEST Falafels in Japan

It's a lovely place, very cozy, the ambience is nice. Portions are generous and delicious.

Went there for lunch and got the Hamburger set. It came with a falafel in the shape of a burger patty drizzled with hamburger sauce, rice, salad, hummus, soup and dessert. All of it taste delicious.

Left Vespera feeling satisfied and happy. A must try!!

Pros: Good food , cheap , Nice vibe

Best vegan restaurant in Tokyo or maybe even Japan

I just fell in love with this place. The food is delicious, the prices are low, the ambient is just perfect. It is cosy and feels just so familiar, I almost din't want to leave :D
They also have a wide selection of beers, try at least one!
I ordered the B set, which consisted of 4 falafels, different veggies, 3 dips, half a pita bread, a soup and cake for dessert. Everything was delicious.
I will be definitely coming back here many times :)

Pros: Ambient, Low prices, Delicious food

Very recommended

A cozy restaurant with delicious falafel, soy-meat and other 100% vegan dishes. It's not too far from Koenji station but be prepared to walk for a kilometer or so.

Prices are towards the cheaper side for Koenji standards, considering you get a big plate of food, a glass of lemon water and a complementary dessert at the end (I'm not sure whether it is served everyday). There are no desserts in the menu itself. It would be nice if they had at least a cake or something else. Nevertheless, I would like to visit Vesperta again someday.

Pros: cozy, good value, falafel!

Cons: no dessert options

A good Falafel

Japan isn't easy for vegans that want to eat out and so finding a place like this even with its limited menu is a great resource. And the falafels are good!

Pros: Good food, All vegan menu, Not expensive

Cons: Limited range (but its a falafel shop!)
