Like a kid in a candy store!

So sad to hear that the Veganz in Vienna has closed.
We visited in 2016 and simply loved it!
So comforting and relaxing to shop in a store without having to check labels.
This was the biggest vegan shop we have visited thusfar.

Review from that visit on my blog:

Cons: it's closed :-(

Fantastic

We could not believe it when we saw this amazing supermarket. So envious of all the lucky Viennese who have this wonderful shop - well stocked with vegan essentials and vegan goodies - for people and four-legged friends. Did I mention I was jealous?

Pros: Range of products, Products for cats and dogs too, 100% vegan

All you need

The range at Veganz is the most complete you can anticipate, that's simply undisputable. Whatever you need: groceries, cosmetics, detergents, you can buy all in one go. Also, you find information material there as well. Modern, up-to-date venue and strong concept.
The even sell their home brand to other supermarket chains to some extent as well.

nice

I tried the wraps of their bistro. Very good! They also sell cakes from the shops nomnom and easy going bakery which are tasty too.
The selection of food at this supermarket is not that broad than I expected. The one in my hometown had way more variety. Unfortunatly it s closed now so I was glad that there is still one in Vienna where I could go.

vegan heaven

I wish I had a veganz at home. It's so refreshing to be in a supermarket where you can buy anything at all because it's all vegan!! A lot of variety, including some takeaway lunch and cake things, fruit and veg, ice cream, tofu and fake meats, and even vegan pet food.

The Best

Nothing but love for the only vegan supermarket in Vienna - it needs to either grow bigger or spread out into more branches throughout Vienna :) Lovely people working there as well. The selection is amazing.

Well stocked, great fresh food section

Veganz is an extremely well-stocked supermarket, you can find virtually anything there: cheese, sausages, frozen goods (including ice cream), chocolate, cereal, yoghurt, etc. My favourite part, however, was the fresh food near the check out. There's sushi from Pirata, cake from Yamm, cupcakes, quiches and all sorts from local restaurants. There's also a very tempting bakery section. The cinnamon swirls were excellent!

Pros: Great bakery, Fresh food selection, Well-stocked

Great range of chocolate!

Unfortunately we didn't cook much in Vienna so I didn't get to buy any groceries but the range seemed very impressive. I was most taken with the range of chocolate bars! I tried a couple of new brands and was blown away. So much so that I went back a few times to stock up. I noticed they also had take away options like salads, sandwiches and cakes. Would definitely go back!

Pros: Variety, Take away option, Best vegan chocolate!

Vegan shopping dream

Great selection of vegan products, including many vegan cosmetics, which is nice. They also have an ice cream stand where you can set together your own vegan ice cream, and every wednesday they offer student discounts.

Pros: Great selection., Student discounts.

Such a Modern Concept!

I was so excited to find this supermarket in Vienna! For once, us vegans never have to read a label in an entire grocery store (unless we're concerned about specific ingredients or nutritional info). The store was quaint and had a good selection. I was particularly excited by the HUGE selection of vegan chocolates -- from dark chocolate to milk chocolate to white chocolate, with all types of flavourings and added ingredients, and the option of some sugar-free chocolates (either sweetened with xylitol, erythritol, or stevia). I bought quite a few chocolates here and at the Veganz in Berlin, a refrigerated soy cappuccino, and a couple raw granola bars. There is so much more than that to choose from though. Even if you're just on vacation, this sore is a MUST visit!!!!!

Pros: huge selection, cute store , novel and progressive concept

Cons: none :)
