Vegan store in Barcelona

This store was a great Vegan shop with many Vegan products! There was Vegan cookies, sweets, cakes, biscuits, "meats", sausage, "fish"... Besides, the staff was friendly.
We went in 2017.

Pros: Totally Vegan, Many choices

Variety of vegan food

You can find all kinds of products here, from whipping cream, to cheezes, to vegan meat and pet food. You can find products that are available only in other countries, which is super nice! I often buy cheeze from Sheese, but there are also Spain made ones that are really delicious.

When I asked for a product that they usually had, but not at that moment, they offered to let me know when they have it in, which they did. :)

Really recommend it!

Pros: Diverse selection of food, Nice staff

Cons: A bit pricey

Little Store

I think we need many more stores like this one, I recalls me the little ones I had in my neighbourhood when I was a child. You can find many things, good price and some swits, cakes and sandwiches! VEGAN!

petit shop vegan sympa

Well stocked with vegan things

Shop is well stocked with the usual vegan stuff. There were a few things in the fridge that were very out of date I noticed.

a one-stop-shop for all your vegan specialty items

I go here once a month to buy a 10-kg sack of vegan dog food. Despite being a small store (just one room), the price of the dog food and of many other items are lower than in other health-food or organic shops such as Veritas. Unfortunately, organic, vegan, and health foods are very expensive in Spain as the associated lifestyles have a lesser following than in, say, the UK or Northern Europe, and demand is quite small. This also means many of the products in this shop are imported (as they are in other similar shops in Barcelona), and therefore more expensive than those at a regular supermarket.

The owner of Veganoteca doesnt just import foreign goods, though - he is dedicated to spreading the cause locally. For example, he reached out to a local (conventional) baking company and showed them how to use an apple glaze instead of gelatin to make delicious & totally conventional-looking croissants, which he then sold in his store (to my great joy). He also sells merchandise for local animal rights organizations, and activists use the shop's back room for some of their activities.

Besides being super grateful for all that the owner does for veganism in Barcelona, the products are well-priced, given the situation, and extremely delicious. Worth a visit each and every time you're in the neighborhood!

Pros: wide variety of vegan specialty items, vegan baked goods!!!!1!!, owner is super friendly

Cons: there is only one of it, not open 24 hours a day, not next to my house

Great place. Just awesome to buy a lot of stuff without worrying about ingredients. I wish I could buy the whole store.

Amazing 100% vegan store packed with meats, cheeses, ice-creams, soya & tofu products from the Redwoods and other well known ranges. Also sells t-shirts &  bags, confectionary and a small selection of pastries. Definitely worth a pop.

Cons: Can be expensive

Small but perfectly formed

Veganoteca is a completely vegan shop that sells all sorts of speciality vegan items. They have two very densely-packed fridges full of vegan meats and cheeses, including Vegusto, Redwoods, Wheaty, Tofutti and more. The freezer also has meats and ice-creams and the shelves are full of everything from vegan chocolate to mayonaise. They even have a little bakery case where you can get doughnuts and croissants. The people working there are always very nice too. Not far from Plaça Universidad metro station, so is pretty central.

Pros: Great selection, Central, Nice staff
