It shouldn't work but it does! - Edit
Before trying Beyond Sushi I was a bit confused by the menu because I felt some ingredients wouldn't taste good together but it was great! This is a good location within Chelsea market. It doesn't have much seating but if you're lucky to grab a seat it's great spot for lunch.

Easily some of the best vegan sushi I have ever had. I make a point of visiting one of their locations every time I am in the city. Super flavorful, reasonably priced and quick. The rolls are so inventive and have interesting flavor combos that you will not find anywhere else. Seriously you don’t want to miss it.

Fresh and delicious! - Edit
Doing the rainy day thing as a tourist and stop to Chelsea market. Thrilled to find Beyond Sushi. Got the Fun Guy mushroom dumplings and the Seitan skewers, which were served on baby spinach and other greens. Very tasty, with nice touches, including a great sauce and crunch topping on the dumplings.

Nice to have a true vegan option in Chelsea Market. Nice fast version of the this restaurants. Food quality is the same as the full service restaurant on 37th street. Cannot go wrong with any if the sushi options. This is my 3rd time

Good sushi - Edit
Food was really nice but we wanted to get the lunch time deal and were waiting in line, ordered at 3:02 and they wouldn't give it to us which seemed a bit unfair.

I really loved my rice paper wrap and the sushi is very creative and unique. Overall I would recommend this as something to try. Everything is made fresh when you order. It is a bit pricey for what you get but I did get full with the special which was wrap plus a roll.

Delicious sushi - Edit
Its a funny story of how I found this place. My cousin (non-vegan) was showing me Chelsea Market because of some pancake place she wanted to eat at. They didn't have vegan options, so I was randomly looking at the next stall, and out of nowhere I see the word vegan!

Another hit! - Edit
I am a BIG fan of Beyond Sushi. Not only is their food vegan, it is healthful! This take-away counter in Chelsea Market is no exception. Located in a relatively quiet corner of this bustling enterprise with a (very) few tables nearby. Same great rolls, bowls, soups, etc as other, larger locations. Make this your go-to place in CM.

Good roll, fast and friendly service. - Edit
This is the second location I have been to. Both times were a good experience. There’s no seating attached to this kiosk but there’s plenty of seating around the Market to grab your items and go. I had the Mighty Mushroom roll and it was delicious with good texture and fresh ingredients. I also tried the sweet potato and black bean brownie. The brownie was not one of my favorites, but not terrible. I just wouldn’t get it again.

long wait but yummy - Edit
I visited the Chelsea Market after walking the high line park and I stumbled across the Beyond Sushi stand. I was so happy as it was somewhere I was planning on visiting the next day!! I got the curry flower rice paper rolls and the spicy mang sushi and both were amazing. I got it to go too and they gave me a little bag to carry it in.

Good, But Not Great - Edit
There aren't too many places to eat in Chelsea Market if you're a vegan, but there are some, including Beyond Sushi.
Read moreThey offer plant-based specialty rolls that taste pretty good, they just aren't spectacular. The sauces they provide with the rolls are great, though—it's been too long since I've had spicy mayo!
They didn't have nearly enough people working at 12:45pm on a Sunday. During my 15+ minutes of waiting for my two rolls, I watched the staff grow from 2 to 5 people. That should have happened around 11:45! So it was slow for a service counter style food venue.
There are also no dedicated places to sit, so you'll have to venture to find a table in the market, or grab your food to-go.
Pros: Specialty sushi rolls
Cons: Long wait, No seating

Complex! - Edit
Not just some cucumber and tofu thrown in some rice and nori. I've never had a harder time choosing what I wanted. The sauces came in cute little squeezable containers (the entire place is takeaway only). It's a bit expensive, but worth it.

Cons: Kind of expensive, In Chelsea market, so can be hard to find a seat
