Great food, resonable prices! - Edit
Nice food with a venezulan and african flare. They have a todays menu with various plates to choose from. A lot of it is always vegan (the majority). The people who work there are very nice and welcoming. All the food is made in house, and with a personal touch. They have veganized various traditional african dishes.

Nice place - Edit
but you can't sit outside. The daily soup was good, but the burger needs more flavour. Unfortunately it seems to me, the patties aren't homemade. So try out some other dishes.

The place was nice. But I think that the food could need some more seasoning. But the price for a three course lunch where were reasonable.

Thumbs up! - Edit
Seldom do you get so much for so little money, and so much flavour from so few ingredients, I would imagine. The thing about Racimo 16 is that their dishes may look simple but still are extremely tasty. At least that was my experience after visiting them on two occasions. The first time I ordered food to go: hallaca (Venezuelan tamal type of thing) with salad and some lentil stew, all of which I found delicious. Their seemingly plain cake was right up my alley as well.
Read moreThe second time I stayed there for a full meal, consisting of a quinua tabbouleh (and a complimentary pea soup as well, I guess I was lucky :)) and a tartare made of rice, black beans, and presumably a few spices. The former was rather satisfactory, while the latter failed to quite measure up to the previously mentioned hallaca. However, some tostones (fried plantain slices) with onion took the dish to a higher level. The dessert was a fruit salad, which did the trick.
I would also like to point out that everything was vegan both days I made it to Racimo 16, with the exception of a starter when I first visited them, and a dessert the second time round. In other words, there may not be plenty to choose from, but you do get some choice. Staff behaviour shifted from friendly to somewhat grumpy, for reasons unbeknownst to me. Still, nothing that would keep me from visiting them whenever I have a chance.

Racimo 16 x 2 - Edit
A short walk from the seafront, Racimo 16 can be found on one of the main roads, it is an artistic, simply laid out cafe with drawings and paintings decorating the walls. You can add to the decorative decor as each customer is given a paper place mat and there are crayons on each table to let your creative juices flow. The waiting staff were very helpful and asked the chef to come out and speak to us as she was able to explain the menu in English, we were lucky as the cafe was quiet at the time and she was free to do so. There is a daily menu with 2 options each for starter, main and dessert plus fruit juice, and we basically picked one of each from each section. You can pick other options but we just stuck with the set menu. Each course was very tasty and made fresh or prepared that day in the case of the desserts and some of the starters. Portion sizes were good and the quality was excellent. We enjoyed it so much we returned a few days later and although the menu was different the quality, freshness and taste of food was just as good. The menu does list any dietary requirements (dairy, vegan, gluten, nuts etc.)

mejorable - Edit

Good but not spectacular - Edit
Half of the menu wasn’t available and the staff wasn’t very attentive. Despite an empty restaurant, the one dish I ordered took relatively long. The food was tasty but not spectacular.

A must try in Las Palmas! - Edit
We had such a nice experience going to Racimo16, the food is delicious and the menu changes every day so really worth it to come back! Karla is so friendly and we went back there the next day. The first day she gave us some free soup and the next day she gave us free cake because we were leaving with our flight the day after. Really great atmosphere there, would definitely recommend to others who want delicious and non-expensive vegan food :)

A must-go! - Edit
This place is a gem. The food was affordable (we were prepared to pay so much more for the daily changing three course menu, had to double check that it was actually that cheap) and everything we ate was fantastic, Racimo16 offers something familiar enough yet such new interesting tastes. A bucket of love goes to the owner who made us feel so special with her bubbly, vibrant customer service. She recommended dishes (that were great) and veganized a delicious starter for us to try even though there already was a vegan starter. She even went her way to make a vegan chocolate cake for the next day for my sister's birthday, and gave us a lot of advice and tips on what to do and see on the island. The loveliest, most helpful person you can imagine. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Great little place! - Edit
Went there for lunch today! The guy who served me was very nice and explained about vegan options, as some were not on the menu. The food (the mexican bean soup for the starter and carrot croquetts salad for the main) was very tasty. I had some very refreshing melon, cucumber, lemon and mint juice too and a coffee with soy milk afterwards. Definitelly a great place for lunch in las Palmas!

full semi-traditional menu with good veg options - Edit
When I was there on a Monday afternoon it was very quite and the had just one menu of the day with two options for each of the three courses: starter, mains, dessert.
Read moreEach course had a vegetarian option and for the mains, they even offered me a vegan choice which was not on the menu! Soup and one of the desserts was already vegan.
I loved the ambiance there and eating a three-course Spanish menu is very relaxing. (Although service was very quick.) All that and a soft drink for 9.90 is a boon!
Pros: nice atmosphere , daily menu, great taste
Cons: not for people who like a lot of choices

cute and good restaurant - Edit
The restaurant itself is very nice and is located close to the beach area and also close to many bars and pubs. Though the menu was only available in Spanish (and I don't speak any Spanish), we had no problems finding something very good to eat, since the waitress was very kind and helped us with the translation. About 30 % of the dishes are vegan, so you will find something suitable without any problem.
