Fire!!! 🔥💯💯🔥

Delicious and affordable! I love cafeteria style where the food is cooked and presented and u choose what u want! They have a combo that comes w noodles/rice and 2 sides. There's also plenty of prepackaged food from appetizers to desserts. Cash only, they don't speak English, nothing has egg!!, and I do believe allium free! This is in little Saigon so be prepared to be immersed into Vietnam. They have booth style seating and nice open window. Desserts are slightly sweet and contain beans, delicious.😋

Pros: Tasty!, Affordable!, Onion and garlic free!!

Cons: No English , Cash only

Great and authentic!

You can trust my review because I'm Vietnamese-American 😊 This place is extremely authentic -- quick, uncomplicated, and good inexpensive food. Sure, they're not going to be overly polite or service-oriented, but that's how things are in Vietnamese restaurants. That being said, they gave us free dessert and were nice and helpful. As far as I know, it seems to be vegan (no egg), but you could double-check.

The bún bò Huế was tasty and pretty spicy, so keep an eye out for that. The tofu and soy milk is very fresh and delicious.

Inexpensive vegan options

I always stop here when I go to the nearby Asian markets. English is limited so I do a lot of pointing but have never been disappointed. Tofu stuffed jalapeños is my favorite.

Pros: Inexpensive

Adorable Place offering cheap Vietnamese Goodness!

What an interesting experience! It's a Vietnamese Take Away shop with a small Viet grocery store. I was unsure what was vegan and what was vegetarian but any "meat" is faux. The first woman helping me was very sweet but couldn't speak English so well, but another English speaking employee came to help. They were very generous with their portions and the food was great. It was delightful but might not be the healthiest because a lot of the tofu or meat is covered in sauces. However, It is quick, cheap, and tasty! It may take a few times of ordering to get it down, I was a bit out of my element at first but still very happy with my experience. We ordered all kinds of amazing tofu, veggie bbq pork, and their veggie beef noodle soup. The soup was my favorite thing!! I recommend taking it all home and getting a bit creative. Everything needed to be heated up and we decided to fry up the vegan pork to make it a bit crispier. Make sure to come early so you have access to their best offerings! Over all it was really good food and sweet staff and I recommend this place! I do wish they would switch from styrofoam to a more sustainable take away packaging though!

My new regular stop for noodles

Delicious broth, and very decent price (7.00$). Comes out quick. They don’t expect a tip. But I leave a tip anyhow. Not sure if they speak English . I just smile, point, eat and pay.

Horrible experience.

I politely asked “Hi there! So, what’s vegan and what’s vegetarian?” The women behind the counter doesn’t look up at me and snarls “everything is vegetarian not vegan” she said it as if I was annoying her somehow. I confirmed “So nothing is vegan” she snaps back “No! Nothing is vegan”. Wow. I was kind of blown away by how rude she was.

Cons: NO VEGAN OPTIONS, Only vegetarian option , Extremely rude employee at the counter

I don't know about your interaction, but they definitely have vegan options.

Haha, I was in there today. Definitely not going to get 5 star service, but hey, $7.00 and they wonder why you leave money on the table (tip).

Owner is a sweetheart. Food is delicious

The day I went here I met one of the owners, and she was the sweetest and kindest woman. This place is both a takeout and store. She let us try many samples of her food, and was just a pleasure to talk to. Beautiful energy, everything there is extremely cheap in comparison to regular vegan food you would find. Much of the food is also free of onion and garlic as well. You can find Asian veg treasures such as vegan fish sauce, jerky from Taiwan, pork pieces, fresh soy milk, and much more. The tofu was extremely cheap, 6 prices for $1! Check this place out if you can!

Pros: Beautiful and such positive energy, Everything is very cheap!!, Authentic food and rare oriental finds

I love this place!

There are so many things to try! This is an authentic deli style Vietnamese restaurant that sells many veggie grocery items. I bought some good soy-milk and tofu from here. They sell lots of pre-made items you can grab to go like sticky rice and steam buns. The food is flavorful and authentic. In my opinion it's the best veggie Vietnamese in the Sacramento area.

Good & Inexpensive

Huong Sen is either the cheapest or one of the least expensive places to get good quality vegetarian/vegan food.
A small place set up deli counter-style. The plain fried tofu is delicious and a real bargain--many tofu-based dishes on the menu. They could use a few more vegetable dishes.
Worth at least two visits to get a sampling of dishes. Located in a small shopping center that is about 90% Vietnamese businesses.
You will spend about half as much as you would in most veggie restaurants. Cook your own rice at home and buy your entrees, appetizers here.

Pros: Many delicious dishes, very inexpensive

Cons: tight parking when shopping center busy, language barrier, menu somewhat confusing on first visit

Good, Cheap, Fast - Get All Three

In life, the usual question is "Good, cheap or fast - pick two." But at Huong Sen Tofu you get all three.

The set up is strip-mall deli, pick your items and there are a few booths. Just about everything in the deli is vegan. And everything in the store is vegetarian.

Pros: Tasty & cheap, Lots of choices & unique dishes, Friendly

Cons: Styrofoam dishes and plastic silverware, Some items seemed a bit greasy

Great fresh tofu!

Their fresh tofu is absolutely wonderful. I've brought it to several (non-veggie) people at work and they have all started going there as well. Try the tofu pudding, but be sure to eat it while it's warm! They also have a variety of tasty bean desserts. I have always found the staff to be very friendly, even when the small restaurant is very busy.

Pros: Great tofu, Great prices
