Amazing food and atmosphere

This restaurant is a hidden gem on the hill, with a really nice atmosphere and a big variety of vegan meals to choose from. I tried the cashew loaf and the dumplings in mushroom sauce, which were both amazing. The toffee dessert with the elderflower ice cream was a surprising combination, but very tasty.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Really nice atmosphere, Traditional Austrian food veganised

Leckeres Essen

Uns hat das Essen gut geschmeckt. Es war das beste vegane Cordon, dass ich bis jetzt gegessen habe. Auch die Mohntorte war sehr lecker.
Wir kommen definitiv wieder 😊

Pros: Vegane Auswahl, Sehr sympathische Betreiber, Nettes Ambiente

nice options

spinach spatzle were really tasty, vegan cordon bleu was a bit much for me as i don't like the overwhelming taste of the vegan ham, but the many other meals i tried were very good. it's great to have these options, staff was all really friendly as well

Traditional home-cooked food

The spinach-spätzle in herbal sauce were really good. The vegan cordon-bleu was also quite good, especially the crispy breading.

Vegan interpretations of austrian food

I've already come here a few times and I always found the food to be really good. Especially, when it comes to austrian kitchen, you often end up having not that many choices as a vegan, but this restaurant offers a lot of different austrian meals in vegan. We had a quick chat with one of the owners when we first came here, and they really seem to care about environmental impacts of the whole food industry. Also, I find it positive that they don't use any flavour enhancers. The restaurant itself isn't exactly in the centre of Vienna, but you can combine it with a nice walk at the Wilhelminenberg, and reward youself with a nice meal in the garden (:
I can recommend bringing your (non-vegan) family here, as it offers anything for everyone, but also can you try to convince them to try something new (because vegan), but also not new (because austrian).

Pros: many vegan choices, Different events, you can sit outdoors

Cons: Takes some time (you don't go there for fast food)

Sehr zu empfehlen - would definitely recommend!

Pros: Sehr viele Vegane Optionen - sehr lecker

super tasty, many options and big portions

Located nearby "Wienerwald" on a hill with a beautiful view over the city.

The food is super tasty and the staff is very friendly. They also have a typically austrian "schani-garden", so you can enjoy your meal outside.

When visited we had the vegan courgette cordon bleau with potatoes and salad and the nut-roast - both very tasty and really large portions.

They also have vegan wines and desserts like cocomisu.

Would recommend and we will definitely visit again.

Pros: lot of vegan options, really tasty food

a must-visit

I absolutely loved this restaurant! It is a bit far from the city centre, but you can easily get there by taking the U-bahn to Ottakring and the bus 46a or b. It will take around 30 minutes from the city centre and it is absolutely worth it. Moreover, the restaurant is on a hill and you can enjoy an amazing view when you get off the bus. We sat in the garden and enjoyed an amazing dinner. All wines served are vegan and the have a special vegan menu offering typical Austrian food. We tried the cordon bleu and the vegan Wurstknoedel and they were both delicious. We then tried the sweet dumplings (with apricots or plums) which were served on a raspberry sauce and were equally delicious. The portions are big, so try to get there hungry...
If you are not short on time I really suggest that you don't miss this great place.

Pros: amazing vegan food, vegan wine, nice location

Cons: far from the city centre

Great place for Austrian food - veganized

We stumbled upon the place while trying to organize a birthday dinner for both veg and non veg and were pleasantly surprised. There is a separate all vegan menu featuring lots of traditional Austrian dishes as well as more neutral dishes like veggie lasagne.
It's a bit out of the way but definitely worth the trip!

Pros: traditional food, separate extensive menu

Cons: a bit out of the way

Sehr gute, Vegane Speisen.

Sehr nettes Lokal in Hernals. Das Essen schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Nur beim Marillenknödeln hätte ich gern mehr Fruchtsauce.

Restaurant with good vegan options!

In the west of Vienna on the hill Wilhelminenberg is this nice restaurant Gasthaus am Predigtstuhl. In summer you can sit in the garden. They have an extra vegan menu and really great and delicious vegan dishes - partly typical Austrian dishes.

For example:
main vegan dishes: Pumpkin soup, Dumplings with Mushroom Sauce, Cashew nut Roast, Vegetable Lasagna, Cordon Blue, Dumplings in pickled cabbage
vegan desserts: Chestnut Creme and home made Ice cream, Sweet Apricot Dumplings

Everything is made with love and you can taste this.

Despite it is located apart from the inner City of Vienna it is really worth to go there and to try this fantastic food.

Pros: excellent food, calm surrounding, summer guest garden

Cons: not fully vegan restaurant
