Great Homemade Vegan Food

I stopped by this stand twice on the Sunday I was in Geneva. The woman running the stand is so sweet and we enjoyed talking with her. I had a slice of quiche which was amazing, and later I bought a small sandwich, which was again, amazing! You could tell how much love went into the items she makes and how passionate she is about veganism. She even sells the elusive Vegusto fondue and raclette cheese, which is made in Switzerland, but you can usually only order online. We took the fondue with us to Zermatt and enjoyed a fondue night! Definitely visit this stall if you're walking through the market on Sunday. You won't be disappointed!

Pros: Great vegan homemade food, Vegan cheese and sausages, Friendly staff

Cons: Only open on Sundays

Phénoménal. Best place in Geneva for vegans

My mum and I were so so impressed with this incredible inspirational woman’s stall. With so many options, we chose the quiche and the homeade sandwich as it was lunch time, and a banana and chocolate muffin. Well, we intended on sharing the quiche and sandwich but we both ended up liking our own choice so much we ate the whole thing ourselves and had to get seconds. Each other’s choice was equally as tasty. The banana muffin was then so yummy that we got another one, too! AND- vegan cheese !! In Switzerland !! And made in Switzerland !! The lady was more than happy to talk to us about where it came from, how it was made, and we couldn’t help but buy some. I could have eaten everything there. I am so impressed by how much work this lady does and how much she bakes herself. And the prices are very reasonable - the best in Geneva as well as the best food too. Incredible.

Pros: Extremely tasty , Lots of selection , Perfect for any time of day, very good prices.

Cons: None!!!

An oasis in the desert

Ursula Klein's 'Be Vegan Make Peace' is a vegan delicacy shop with a message. Ursula is a kind and wonderful person selling some of the tastiest salty delicacies (like quiche, vegetable cakes with vegan cheese etc.) and sweet desserts (chocolate cakes, berry cakes, apricot cakes, muffins, lemon tarts to name a few). All the items that we tasted were exquisite and extremely tasty. She's open on Sundays in the Plainpalais market in Geneva.

Besides, she has many pamphlets promoting veganism, which discuss the health, environmental and animal cruelty aspects of non-vegan diets.

Besides, she also sells cheese and meat alternatives. All vegan.

Be there, support her and have some wonderful cruelty free delicacies.

Pros: Location, Kind owner, Excellent food

Cons: Nothing, Nothing, Nothing

Delicious desserts!

This simple stand with the beautiful message of "peace" (for the environment, each other, our animals) has the most delicious desserts and little vegan alternatives to meat/dairy products. The savoury foods available did not look very appetising (a quiche and sandwiches), however the desserts tasted just as good as they looked.

I took home the Chocolate Torte (very velvety/chocolatey) and the Banana Choco Chip Muffin, as well as a mi-piquant cheese alternative (incredibly surprised, maybe a little gross how similar it tastes to Parmesean/Gruyere)!

Will definitely come back every Sunday!

Pros: Excellent desserts, Sells other products (alternative cheese/meat), Friendly seller

Cons: Uncomfortable wait if raining (outdoor food stall)

Good food stall

It's really great to have this stall on the greatest market of Geneva.
Even though Ursula cannot make it to the market every Sunday, when she's there, it's always nice to find her quiche, tarts, pizza and desserts. She also sells vegan cheese and VEG1 supplements.

Pros: Good food, Good options for desserts, Cheap

Cons: Just Sunday and not every sunday

Not so good as we expected

After read all positive opinions about this place we were a little bit disappointed. The lady was very friendly and helpful, but the food wasn't so good. We tried a piece of quiche, quinoa salad and hummus. The first two options were ok but I'm really sorry to write that, the hummus was awful. Prices are low if you compare them with other places in Geneve but the portions are tiny so you need to eat 3 o 4 of them to get full.

Pros: Price, big vegan cakes selection, friendly owner

Cons: Taste, tiny portions

Fantastic food... Pure Vegan!

i visit this market whenever Ursula Klein is there. Her food lentil, salads, chick pea salads, and grain salads are delicious and prepared with love of vegan food.. Her pizzas and cakes and tarts are to die for... She also sells the most wonderful Vegusto cheeses for raclettes and fondues, for baking pizzas and to put in sandwiches.

Not to miss

It's not a big market, so it takes around 20 min max to find the stand.

Good variety of cakes. We tried everything: the desserts were wonderful, the salty pies were very good as well.

Prices are attractive, like 3-5 CHF for 1 piece of pie.

Pros: Choice, Prices

Cons: Sunday only

Wonderful vegan 'cheese' cake and 'cheese'

Lovely staff, wonderful food for vegans. The only vendor of Vegusto cheese in Geneva. (Vegusto is only sold at purely vegan establishments, and this is one. Many consider Vegusto as the most delicious brand of vegan cheeses). Has outdoor seating if you feel like eating on the spot.

Pros: Great variety of Vegusto cheese, Delicious raw cheese cakes, Central location

Cons: Only open on Sundays
