"Recycling Reviled Rodents Into Outrageous Fashion Accessories"
Mankind has been wearing the skins of countless creatures ever since we came into being, and yet what began as a practical by-product of our meal soon morphed into a pastime that indulged our sense of sport, lust for money, and pursuit of fashion.
While we have long thought nothing about taking down regal lions and tigers and bears to pacify our hunger for exotic fashion furs, it's amusing that rodents have never been on the list.
Regarded as nothing more than a pestilence that our society that we would happy purge once and for all (if they weren't such phenomenally skilled reproducers), one fashion accessories designer is attempting to change our perception of the yellow toothed gnawers by elevating them into taxidermized fashion statements.
This type of recycling may make the masses gag, but there is something to be said for a bejeweled rat on one's head...it certainly makes a statement, and isn't that what fashion is all about?
