Possible Ban on Fur in Israel

vanessa21 Posted by vanessa21 at 06/02/2009
Although the Israeli government isn’t usually at the forefront of welfare issues for the right reasons, I was pleased to find out that the Israeli Minister for Justice, Yaakov Neeman, has put forward an initiative to ban the sale and production of fur in Israel. It seems that even PETA is congratulating him on this one: action.petaasiapacific.com/ea-campaign/clientcampaign.do?ea.client.id=110&ea.
campaign.id=3593&ea.param.extras=ea_source_code:papadvifbpr~c=papifbpr Animals are often skinned alive for their fur and this law could potentially end the suffering of thousands of animals. It would also be the first of its kind in the world!
