According to a New York Times article Weaver said he ate fish when dining out or dining at a friend's. Blathered about not sticking to rules.
All I can say is some yogi.

Many years ago in Taos, New Mexico, we stopped in at what was supposed to be Dennis Weaver's favorite restaurant. I think we ordered cheese enchiladas, maybe the only non-meat item on the menu. When the plates arrived we were disappointed to find that the sauce was made with hamburger. After I told the waitress we couldn't eat what we were served and therefore could not pay, she got angry and threatened to call the police!

From Wikipedia: Weaver had been a vegetarian since 1958 and student of yoga and meditation since the 1960s and a devoted follower of Paramahansa Yogananda, the Indian guru who established the Self Realization Fellowship in the United States. He was also renowned as an environmentalist, promoting eating lower on the food chain, alternate fuels such as hydrogen and wind power through an educational organization he founded, The Institute of Ecolonomics (a neologism formed by combining "ecology" and "economics"). He was also involved with John Denver's WindStar Foundation. He founded an organization called L.I.F.E. (Love is Feeding Everyone) which provided food for 150,000 needy people a week in Los Angeles.
